A customer liked the idea of lattice work and the Arts and Crafts style. I  added the through tenons, cloud lifts and inlaid Ebony to give it a distinctly Asian look. The bed is made from solid quarter-sawn Red Oak with an oil  finish. I was able to use material that had grain patterns which helped accentuate the style . The bottom footrail has a slightly curved grain which follows the arch. The rays on the top rail of both the footboard and headboard are vertical in the center of the pieces then fan out in a sunburst effect which is quite attractive. This is a queen size bed and runs for $3,200.00 plus tax, shipping and handling.
