his door was made in a classic Arts and Crafts style. The door, jambs, trim and sidelight frames are white oak. The door is oversized at 39".  All joinery is full mortise and tenon and the tenons are pinned which gives the door mechanical strength as well as strength from the glued joint. The panels in the door are made individually from inside and out. This allows the inside panels to be able to expand and contract separately from the outside panels. In between the inside and outside panels is a thin layer of foam to act as a thermal break.
