My picture frames are a true custom frame. I start with wood in the rough, mill it and make the frame to your specifications. I hand pick the material for your frame to try to give you the nicest frame possible. The frames are almost always made from the same piece of wood to ensure grain match on the entire frame. I derive some of my inspiration from architectural details of classic A&C homes and buildings and some from the furniture, graphic arts and sense of honesty in design of the times. Whether you choose a classic Craftsman style frame or something custom I guarantee you will be satisfied with my efforts and finished product. My picture frames have full mortise and tenon joinery with any number of traditional finishes depending on what you might require. In most cases glass will not be included in the price or supplied.

| The finish I use is an eco-friendly water bourne alkyd varnish or an oil based varnish. Thin coats are applied to give a nice natural feel and look to the piece. The standard colors are a Dark Mission Brown (as shown in the custom frames), Vintage Maple (as shown in Style E-golden tone), Charcoal (as shown in Style E-dark). Most of the other woods look great natural, but I can do other colors for you. On request, I can send a sample. | ||
